The decor has an old-world charm, with unique historical features that transport you back a few centuries. The pub below exudes character and serves a range of drinks that might appeal after a long day of exploring.
The noise from the pub is hard to ignore. unless you're a heavy sleeper, you might find the weekend live music a bit too energetic for your taste, vibrating right through the floor into your room. The specific amenities like the kettle were less than welcoming, looking a bit grimy, which diminishes the experience of enjoying a quiet cup of tea. Shower adjustments were a hassle, with the head not staying in place and lacking in proper shelving for toiletries. Plus, I noticed the room’s windows weren’t entirely secure, allowing even more of that street noise to creep in.

I had a delightful stay here with a lovely view from my room, which made me feel truly immersed in the city center while enjoying the convenience of being just a few steps from Kings Square and York's Chocolate Story, perfect for enjoying the charm and flavor of this historic city. the staff were super friendly and even let me keep my bags after check out so I could fully explore the town before leaving, making it an ideal base for a weekend of city strolls.

It was just a perfect match for a quick break in York with incredible value for money. The street noise was noticeable but falling asleep after a long day was easy. Bring earplugs for a good night's sleep if you're a light sleeper.

The location is centrally situated, making it easy to explore the area. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and little touches like biscuits in the room enhance the experience. The bathroom is compact, but the hot shower provided a great way to refresh. Even though noise levels were a concern, our room at the back proved to be relatively quiet, making for a restful stay.

I had a pleasant experience at the Roman Bath during my recent work trip. The central location made it extremely convenient for my meetings and allowed me to explore the city easily during my free time. The staff was efficient and handled my check-in smoothly, ensuring my business needs were met without any hassles. The ambiance of the hotel added to a relaxed environment despite my busy schedule.
The mattress was far too worn and uncomfortable, affecting my sleep quality throughout my stay.

Perfect spot for exploring!
We stayed 2 nights in a twin room. The location was super convenient, right by shops and all the main attractions. Left our bags after checkout which was a lifesaver! The lunch was decent, but the menu could use more options. Some staff were friendly, though. Just wish the room was a bit cozier.

Had a smashing time! The local dining scene is buzzing—Oscar's Wine Bar & Bistro served some fantastic cold cuts, and The Roman Bath Inn Restaurant was a real gem for hearty pub grub. loved the little biscuits in the room—proper Yorkshire charm! The staff were sound, too.
Bit of a hiccup with the mattresses, felt like I was sinking into the floor! Plus, the key to my room was a stubborn one, making it a right faff to lock up. Didn't feel too cozy with no proper security options.

The Roman Bath was a fantastic stay for our family! The central location made it super easy for us to explore York's attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Our room had a cozy corner perfect for reading with the kids, and we loved the little biscuits left for us each day.
No significant complaints.
